Viscose staple fibre prices continued sharply declining in the last fortnight in China, reflecting lower raw material costs and a continued weakness in demand from downstream spun yarn producers. The third annual meeting for viscose staple industry was held in November. Three conclusions were agreed on the meeting - cancellation of monthly settlement, slowing down the dropping pace of viscose staple prices and restricting production when it was necessary.
